Year 4 2024-2025

 Ufton Court 2024

Day 1

Year 4 have had a fantastic start to their residential trip to Ufton Court. The children were greeted by their Tudor hosts on arrival and were then taken on a  tour of the beautiful grounds and the Manor House.
The children were set a range of activities to explore the house and become historians looking for clues, they also took part in Tudor games and photo mapping.

Day 2

Year 4 had an absolute blast on their second day at Ufton Court! They dived into the fascinating world of Tudor portraits and artefacts in the morning, soaking up all the historical goodness. The sun was shining bright, so they made the most of it by playing some classic Tudor games.

After lunch, the fun continued with bow and arrow making. To end the day on a high note, the students got all decked out for a spectacular Tudor banquet in the evening. The atmosphere was just buzzing with excitement and everyone had an absolute ball.

Day 3

Year 4 woke up sad, as today was the day they were heading back home...but before they packed their suitcases, there was one last adventure!  Today, Castleview children were involved in the Raid of 1599 and the trial against the Perkins family. They immersed into a battle ending in a heated discussion on why should my choice of religion matter. Year 4 dived into character debating, and displaying the artefacts as evidence which they collected during their raid from their manor house. They were questioned on who to trust and if this was fair which ended with an extremely harsh punishment... a couple of hangings!
Year 4 did an amazing job getting into character

Before jumping aboard the coach, they were lucky enough to play some games with their friends in the beautiful courtyard. They all agreed that this trip was one to remember. You will enjoy listening to the amazing memories they've made whilst they were on this historical site.
