Friday 7th June 2024 Alan Mackenzie Visit
The Year 6 Digital Leaders from Ryvers joined our Year 6s and had the pleasure of meeting Alan and were taught the importance of how to be safe online. Following on from this, Year 5 also had their own online safety talk, focussing on AI.
In the afternoon, Alan Mackenzie delivered his parent and staff talk. The Digital Leader team kicked off the event with an introductory presentation about their online lives with a snap-shot into the games, activities and influencers they follow. Alan educated parents on the steps they can take to help protect their children online. The talk received positive feedback saying how insightful his presentation was. We look forward to welcoming even more parents next year. Alan rounded off the day by leading the staff PDM.
Tuesday 6th February 2024 - Safer Internet Day
This year's theme was “Inspiring change? Making a difference, managing influence and navigating change online”. The Digital Leader's got the day started with an amazing assembly. All children from Reception to Year 6 took part in a range of activities with an online safety message.

Tuesday 28th November 2023 - 'Be Internet Legends' Day
Castleview celebrated 'Be Internet Legends Day'! The children thoroughly enjoyed the assembly and loved all the shout outs from the Be Internet Legends team! This years theme was 'kindness' and how to show it online! Following the assembly, the children spent the morning on a range of Online Safety and Digital Wellbeing activities. Everyone came in mufti wearing colours to represent one of the 'Legends'!
